FAQ4: - Definitions: Gold-Grade, Luscious-Grade and Standard-Quality domains


A search across the internet reveals that major domain registrars and aftermarket brokers have not enforced a structured methodology for grading the quality of domains in circulation. We see an urgent need to depart from this practice and establish criteria to strictly grade domains as Gold-Grade, Luscious-Grade, and Standard-Quality. 

 
Definition of a Gold-Grade domain
Gold-Grade domain is defined as a .GOLD domain with a widely recognized, single-word name that contains no more than 10 letters and three syllables. Gold-Grade domains shall also strictly comply with the below, additional requirements:
  1. No acronyms are allowed;
  2. No plural regular nouns (s or es added) are allowed;
  3. No words with negative connotations or associations are allowed and
  4. No numbers, hyphens, abbreviations are allowed:

Almighty, Blitz, Clarify, Dazzling, Gorgeous, Juniper, Mexican, Oak, Radiate, Realtor and Beta.  
 

Definition of a Luscious-Grade or Vanity-Grade domain

Luscious-Grade domain is defined as a .GOLD domain with a widely recognized, single or double   word name that positively elevates the domain owner's brand and contains no more than thirteen (13) letters and four (4)  syllables.
Luscious-Grade domains shall also strictly comply with the below, additional requirements: 

  1. No acronyms are allowed;
  2. Plural regular nouns (s or es added) are allowed;
  3. No words with negative connotations or associations are allowed and 
  4. No numbers, hyphens, abbreviations are allowed.


Definition of a Standard-Quality domain
 
A Standard Grade domain has a widely recognized, single, double or triple word name that does not exceed thirteen (13) letters and five (5) syllables.
Standard Grade domains must fully meet (100%) of the below criteria.
